Flying Angel Club

A worldwide network of places seafarers can call home

Seafarers are invited to visit and make use of our Flying Angel Club, as the Mission to Seafarers centres are known worldwide by seafarers for the network of welcoming places they offer in ports far from home where seafarers can relax and seek assistance or support if needed.

Here in Victoria,  staff and volunteers man Flying Angel Clubs in Melbourne, Portland, Geelong and Hastings offering a safe and secure place where seafarers can relax away from the busy-ness of their working environment, contact their families by telephone or email, and receive counselling and support. Since our work began we have cared for well over 2 million seafarers from around the globe.

When standing-by and with a few hours to kill, why not have a game of Billiards or table tennis with your mates or some new found friends. Play some chess or cards, have a jam with our musical instruments or just relax at the bar and spend time unwinding.

You may be in port for a wait, but it won’t be dull at the Mission.  All facilities are free for visiting seafarers.

The Flying Angel Club rooms can also be used by our non-seafaring Crew 717 social club members.  Joining is easy. Just click on the Crew 717 tab under About Us, pay your annual fee of $52, and all the benefits of membership are open to you.

You might make a new overseas friend!

Michael Jay Melencio and Michael Orpilla Ponce from the MV Orchard Bulker came by the Mission to play some pool.
