Opera in the Docklands

Opera in the Docklands promises the hits of opera you will know, with a twist of humour and musical genres. A rare chance to hear some of Melbourne’s opera singers up close and personal in an informal alternative setting.

Highlights from Carmen, La Traviata, Lakme, Marriage of Figaro, through to ‘Popera’ favourites like ‘Time to Say Goodbye’ and some Musicals along the way. Lots of warm fuzzies and goosebumps to be had.

Featuring Special Guest Star Artist, one of Australia’s finest and most exciting Tenors, BRADLEY DALEY, Mezzo Soprano CAROLINE VERCOE (Opera Australia, Melbourne Opera), International Soprano ALISON RAE JONES and Comic Compere CHRISTOPHER MCKENNA. With Virtuoso Pianist LEN VORSTER at the Grand Piano.

We encourage you to take public transport as it’s only a 10 minute walk from Southern Cross Station, tram stop D5 is even closer, and there’s cheap multi-story parking in Siddeley Street. You might like to bring a cushion as the heritage-listed pews are beautiful but a bit hard on the bum.
