Secretos de la Raíz – YIRRAMBOI Festival
Saturday 8th May
Secretos de la Raíz (Secrets of the Roots)
Seven dancers from diverse cultural backgrounds join to create a multi-dimensional and immersive performance experience, investigating the spiritual and physical connections with country that are shared across centuries, cultures and continents.
Performed in the round, creating a sacred ceremonial space, Secretos de la Raíz (Secrets of the Roots) calls on ancestral knowledge in a contemporary landscape, as the dancers explore the interconnectedness of all earthly and celestial elements, and share native spirituality and values as a means to inspire a renewed respect and connection with community and country.
