Docklands, Melbourne – Get ready to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in true Celtic style as the Melbourne Celtic Festival returns to the historic Mission to Seafarers on Monday, March 17, 2025. This annual event, a cornerstone of the Docklands calendar, promises a vibrant day of music, dance, food, and culture against the backdrop of one of Melbourne’s most iconic venues.

Headlining this year’s festival is SKERRYVORE, 3-time winners of Scotland’s Live Act of the Year, Celtic rock band renowned for their genre bending blend of bagpipes, fiddles, and contemporary rock rhythms. Their performance is not to be missed.

Joining Skerryvore are local and international acts including Austral, Chloe Matharu, and Apolline and many more, each bringing their unique flair to the festival. Three intimate stages will host a mix of traditional and modern Celtic music throughout the day

Beyond music, the Melbourne Celtic Festival offers a diverse range of experiences such as a sound bath session led by Fiona Ross, a traditional Irish singing workshop with Kathryn Clements, and a delightful array of Celtic-inspired culinary delights from The Wee Kitchen. The venue itself, steeped in maritime history, provides a perfect setting for this cultural celebration.

About the Mission to Seafarers: Located at 717 Flinders St, the Mission to Seafarers is more than just a venue; it’s an historic institution dedicated to supporting seafarers visiting Melbourne. Since its establishment, the Mission has provided essential services, including welfare support, accommodation, and a welcoming space for sailors from around the globe.
